How Big Pharma Medicine Controls
Bette Dowdell
Large pharmaceutical companies, Big Pharma-control medicine in the U.S. and are among us and a good health care.
Let's be frank about it. Big Pharma is all about money. First, last and always, is about money. They dress in talking about the frontiers of science, the conquest of disease, the improvement of life, etc. but not about any of these things. It is drug sales and making money.
Pharmaceutical companies rake in big bucks, great. And bandied around to buy the insurance that a large flow a lot of money will continue flowing through the pipe.
First, Big Pharma, with the help of politicians, has totally corrupted the Food and Drug Administration. The FDA and would not serve the pharmaceutical laboratories comply with its duty to protect the public. And too many meetings take place outside public view.
Second, Big Pharma controls medical schools with endowments, jobs plush to go along administrators, medical schools teach etc. what they want taught large taxpayers.
For example, medical schools taught that Armour Thyroid, the natural medicine, thyroid desiccated has proven effective for over 150 years is not reliable, and the doctor prescribes that anyone who is obviously out of touch with science. This nonsense makes the truth on its head, but is taught as gospel.
And professors of medicine at the school continue with the lute as Synthroid thyroid medication of choice. Now that the facts are that Synthroid is not reliable, has no science behind it and no record of success. But it sure brings a lot of money.
Med students, bless his heart, thinks they are taught the truth. And it takes some intervention to dislodge serious misinformation.
A doctor, David Brownstein, MD, did his medical school that taught him to do what he was to his dying father. And his father got worse. In desperation, Dr. Brownstein looked beyond what they had taught him, and found solutions in alternative treatments. His father went to live for many happy years. Most doctors, however, do not have a strong motivation, therefore remain as true believers.
And medical schools do not complete the effort. The maintenance of a medical license requires continuing education, so that Big Pharma offers-in exotic, luxurious. Delivered by prestigious names in the field medical-pharmaceutical company paid by sponsors, of course, repeat the indoctrination of the medical school. All while pampering doctors and not responsive cost. N tasteless university conference rooms for them, thank you very much.
And still the beat goes on! Armies of sales representatives drop in doctors' offices every day. They use their constant presence to build the medical school mantra: "Big Pharma is your friend."
They deliver lunch for the doctor, without charge, of course. He leaves behind pens, prescription pads, laptops, office software systems, the sample drugs and so on. Anything to keep the train running gangs.
This is where everything is reduced. A doctor committed to Big Pharma can not simultaneously be committed to you. Look for signs of influence. Some are obvious. A closed circuit television in doctor is more or less shouting that their welfare does not come first.
A push for Big Pharma is now responsible State Medical stacking to comply with their advice to doctors have no choice but to do the will of the big pharmaceutical companies. At least if they want to keep their medical license, do not.
Another is working with the World Health Organization so that it is illegal worldwide to buy natural-resources such as vitamins, minerals, etc. With alternative medicine is growing by leaps and bounds as people flee from standard medical care, drug companies want the WHO to destroy threat.
We are in a war. Not our choice, no doubt, but not a war-less.
Do not lose by default. Parties need health tea. On-line activity. Letters to politicians. Participation in various community organizations. In sum, it appears to be the only way to create change Today, we have to make noise. And the doctors that you choose carefully.
The life you save may be yours.
